Frederick the Wise must have been pleased with Dürer. He later appears to have commissioned the artist to paint two further altarpieces, which were both completed in 1504. One of these was a triptych with wings depicting four saints on the inside and Job castigated by his wife on the outside. The central panel has long since disappeared and the theme of the triptych, now known as the Jabach Altarpiece because it once belonged to the Jabach family, remains unknown. The other commission from Frederick the Wise was for The Adoration of the Magi, which is among Dürer's masterpieces.
