Members of this family were four brothers, Giuseppe Palizzi (1812-1888), Filippo Palizzi (1818-1899). Nicola Palizzi (1820-1877) and Francesco Paolo Palizzi (1825-1871). Of the brothers, Giuseppe and Filippo were especially important in the development of Italian Realism in the mid- and late 19th century.
