The detail shows the head of Contess Emesindis.

We know the names and some of the work of an interesting group of Catalan sculptors active during the fourteenth century and the first half of the fifteenth. One member of the group, Guillermo Morey is the author of noble monuments to Count Ramón Berenguer II and his wife, Ermesindis, who were buried in Gerona cathedral.
