The mosaics in the north cupola (John cupola) depicts scenes from the life of St John the Evangelist. They date from the first half of the twelfth century.

The detail of the cupola represents the awakening of the two men killed by the poisoned drink intended for the apostles; St John in the pose of an orant; awakening of Drusiana.
