Aside from the Last Judgment, the pictorial program consists mainly of the biblical stories long traditional in Rome. The south section contains the following, from the top to the bottom: Virtues; the Creation (boarding the Ark, the Flood); the story of Joseph (storing grain, Joseph reveals himself to his brothers, Joseph's reunion with Jacob); the life of Christ (Crucifixion, Lamentation, women at the tomb); the story of John (beheading of the Baptist, Salome presenting his head to Herod, burial).
