Bacchus

This painting is a copy, with some minor variations in the background, of the central figure in Titian's famous Bacchus and Ariadne in the National Gallery, London. It was probably commissioned by an admirer shortly after Titian's painting arrived in Ferrara for decorating the ducal apartments of Alfonso d'Este.
