Scenes from the New Testament
Frescoes by GIOTTO

On the south wall of the nave and on the entrance wall episodes from the New Testament are painted above the Legend of St Francis occupying the lower part of the wall. Some of these scenes are attributed to Giotto. However, this attribution is rejected by many scholars.
