Connecting to the Sala del Concilio is the private apartment of the cardinal, bedchamber (Camera dell'Aurora), dressing room (Stanza dei Lanifici), and study (Stanza della Solitudine).

The Stanza dei Lanifici (Room of Woolmaking), the dressing room, is adjacent to the bedroom. The paintings on the ceiling and the lunettes illustrate in a general way the invention of clothing and the production and dying of textiles via various subjects taken from classical mythology as told by Ovid.
