HUPIN, Jacques
(active in mid-17th century)

French painter active in Austere. We know practically nothing about this artist, the only mention in archives is that he was in Rome in 1649.

His known and signed paintings represent objects of goldsmithry placed on a table covered with heavy carpet, with red background. His subjects are close to those of Meiffren Conte (c. 1630-1705) and painters active in Bergamo such as Baschenis or Bettera.
