This unsigned painting evinces a similar technique as the signed ("by the hand of Domenikos") Modena Triptych, which is a key reference work for the early paintings of El Greco. In the Last Supper the perspective space is still quite simply structured. The figures have little corporeal volume and seem more to hover than actually to sit at the long table.
