Santa Maria presso San Satiro, Milan

The church, dedicated to St Satyrus, confessor and brother of Sts Ambrose and Marcellina, was built from 1472 to 1482 under commission from Duchess Bona di Savoia and Duke Gian Galeazzo Sforza. The designer was Donato Bramante, who had recently moved from the Marche. Recent documents prove that the façade was designed by Giovanni Antonio Amadeo.
