The most prestigious commission Salomon de Bray ever received was for three paintings for Amalia van Solms's country seat, Huis ten Bosch. Jacob van Campen and Constantijn Huygens were responsible for the decoration of the large centrally located Oranjezaal. The Triumphal Procession with Musicians was the first canvas de Bray completed. The second, likewise a triumphal procession was finished a year later. Finally, in 1651, he painted a grisaille of putti.
