Apollo and the Cattle of Admetus

c. 1620
Oil on copper, 26 x 20 cm
Galleria degli Uffizi, Florence

Like many other works, this small painting received its title from someone other than its author. Apollo, in the foreground, plays rustic pipes rather than his noble lyre. In the background are cattle.
