This panel belonged to the predella of the main altarpiece painted Bartolomeo degli Erri and his brother Agnolo for the church of San Domenico in Modena. It shows St Dominic resuscitating the nephew of Cardinal Stefano di Fossa Nova, who had been killed in a fall from his horse.
