Medici Madonna, between Sts Cosmas and Damian

The picture shows the Madonna group in the New Sacresty. The group consists of a Madonna and Child and the Medici patron saints Cosmas and Damian. The Madonna is completely by Michelangelo's own hand; the saints are the work of pupils after models by the master: St Cosmas by Giovanni Angelo Montorsoli (left) and St Damian by Raffaello da Montelupo (right),
