In scene 15 of the cycle on the south wall, King Totila is depicted kneeling before St Benedict. Benedict reprimands the king for his wicked deeds, and he prophesies that the king will meet his death in the tenth year of his reign. This causes the king to be afraid, and from this time on he is less cruel.
