Baglione wrote on Francesco Zucchi that 'he portrayed flowers and fruit most excellently' and that he is 'the artist who in his paintings had the idea of composing and colouring the heads of the four seasons, with their fruits, flowers, and other attributes.' This description makes him sound like a Roman Arcimboldo.
