Proper of Time

The Proper of Time (also known by its Latin name, Temporale) is the section of the church calendar and liturgical books that organises the seasons and movable feasts of the Liturgical Year around the life, death, and resurrection of Jesus Christ. Most events in the Proper of Time change dates each year because they revolve around the movable date of Easter. It runs concurrently with the Proper of Saints (Sanctorale), which honours saints on fixed calendar dates (such as Christmas on December 25 or specific feast days).
