This octagonal snuff-box features eleven miniatures representing the Royal Châteaux and gardens. The miniatures are attributed to Louis-Nicolas van Blarenberghe (1716-1794), one of the artists who won immense fame in this particular area of artistry. The box is attributed to the goldsmith Jean-Joseph Barrière (1763-1793).
