Hints from Bernini and from Bouchardon combine in Boizot's typical statuette of Cupid. Certainly it looks backward rather than into the climate of contemporary Neoclassical works. This is just a charming figurine, sexless, rather soft, posed in a way that ultimately goes back to Bernini's David.
