The Palazzo Barbaro complex make up of two adjacent palaces, one of which (at left in the present view) is Gothic, designed by Giovanni Bon in 1425, and the other is Baroque, designed by Antonio Gaspari around 1694.

The Gothic façade has the traditional three-part arrangement, archaic features mixing together with fifteenth-century components: on the first floor the mullioned-window with quatrefoil work stands out, while on the second floor the windows are finished with curved arches on tall columns terminating with capitals with leaf motifs.
