Royal Netherlandish Theatre, Antwerp

Today's Royal Netherlandish Theatre was built by Pierre Bruno Bourla as the Théâtre Royal Française from 1829 to 1834 in Neoclassical style. The architect modeled his work on the Classical circular temple, placing figures on the cornice above the columns in the manner of Palladio. Tondi with busts were set over the volutes of the pediments of the upper floor windows.
