Vase of Flowers

c. 1665
Oil on canvas, 83 x 67 cm
Private collection

This painting, that depicts a generous arrangement of flowers in an ormolu gilt vase with a ruby glass bowl to which two butterflies have been attracted, exhibits the stylistic and technical features of Camprobín's flower painting that made his works sought after commodities by Sevillian collectors in his lifetime.
