Bellona House, Brussels

The design of the remarkable 17th-century façade of the Bellona House is attributed to the architect Jan Cosijn. As protection against air pollution and acid rain, a roof in glass and stainless materials covers the courtyard since 1995. In this unique setting, regular meetings, seminars and other events take place dedicated to the performing arts.

The Baroque façade of the building shows a unifying and classicist arrangement. It is a successful compromise between strict classical composition and lush Flemish Baroque style.
