Sacrifice to Jupiter

Before the work in the Tuileries was completed, many of the artists working there were called away to the château of Versailles. Coypel also received commissions for that new palace. This painting was commissioned from Coypel for the Salle des gardes de la reine in the Grands appartements of the Château.
