Allegorical scenes
by Lucas CRANACH the Elder

The Cranach workshop produced several panels of secular pictures involving large numbers of nude figures, for which there was clearly a great demand in the 1530s. The figures are not the result of life studies but correspond to Cranach's ideal nude figures.
