View of Rome

Museum of Art, Cleveland

Lieven Cruyl made series of drawings as well as individual renderings of the landmarks of Rome. Several of the drawings were later engraved by himself. The present print (in reversed view) shows Francesco Borromini's buildings: Sant'Andrea delle Fratte (1653-65) at left, and Collegio di Propaganda Fide (1662-65) at right.
