This potpourri ship featuring a pink ground, one of the most renowned forms created at Sèvres, consists of two pieces that fit together: a vase shaped like a ship, and a fretwork lid imitating the mast and rigging. The Chinese style scene, after a work by François Boucher, was painted by Charles-Nicolas Dodin.
