Seated Hercules Shooting at the Stymphalian Birds

This statuette is one of the many small Renaissance bronzes produced in the first quarter of the sixteenth century that mimicked the anatomy of the antique sculpture, especially the expression of the heroic torso of the famous Belvedere Torso.
