On the centre panel of the east wall of the Sala degli Gigli is St Zenobius, one of Florence's patron saints, enthroned and flanked by the deacons Eugenius and Crescentius. In the lunette of the baldachin the Madonna and Child with adoring Angels are depicted, on the left a view of the dome of Florence Cathedral can be seen.
