The picture shows a view of the Sassetti Chapel from the transept of the church. On the altar wall scenes from the legend of St Francis are depicted, in the side niches the sarcophagi of the donor and his wife, each of whom is depicted kneeling on the adjacent wall. In the vaulting sibyls are represented.
