Ognissanti Polyptych: lateral panel

before 1365
Tempera on wood, 133 x 41 cm
Galleria degli Uffizi, Florence

The original altarpiece numbered six lateral panels, three on either side of a central panel featuring the Virgin. In the roundels above the represented saints are the days of the Creation, in which the artist portrayed God the Father as resembling Christ. Five of these panels are in the Uffizi. In this panel the saints are Stephen and Lawrence.
