Catalogue numbers: F 903, JH 12. In April 1881 van Gogh settled down in Etten where he stayed at his parents' house. In the first few months, he concentrated primarily on landscapes. On the present sheet he used mainly charcoal on the pencil sketch and he emphasized the tree branches with thin brush and ink. |
