The Ecstasy of St Francis

There are more than a hundred representations of St Francis executed by the workshop of El Greco mainly for the commissons of the three Franciscan monasteries and seven cloisters in Toledo. This formerly unknown signed painting was found during an inventory of the artworks in 1966 in Poland.
