Diversity of church architecture remained extensive in the French provinces. The hall church design - three naves of equal height - was employed at Saint-Jacques in Lunéville (by Emmanuel Héré de Corny, assisted by Germain Boffrand). This region, however, was not far from Germany. In the south, Italian forms adopted.
