Jan I Keldermans (Jan van Mansdale), the patriarch of the well-known family of architects, sculpted nine consoles between 1377 and 1385, depicting scenes from the Old Testament, about the nine so-called heroes. The completed work served as an example for the residing judges of the tribunal.
