The last known work by Lieven de Key is the façade of the new side wing of Haarlem Town Hall on Zijlstraat. Three years after his death it was extended to meet the front elevation.
The long brick façade of the town hall is less liberally adorned with sandstone ornament than that of the Butchers' Hall; it is dominated by a heavy cornice supported on consoles. The high chimneys on the roof are particularly noteworthy.
