Portrait of Nicolaus Fleischbein

Etching and engraving, 212 x 144 mm
British Museum, London

The print shows the portrait of Nicolaus Fleischbein (1604-1660), a merchant in Nuremberg, half-length, in three-quarter profile to right, a column with his arms at right; in an oval frame set in a Schweifwerk border. It was made after a painting by Georg Strauch (1613-1675).
