c. 1410
Tempera on wood, 54 x 56 cm

This twelve-sided panel is the front of a marriage salver. It illustrates an episode from Boccaccio's Comedia delle Ninfe Florentine, written in c. 1342. The hunter Ameto, dressed in red, peers over a hill and then approaches some nymphs in a thicket.
