This Crucifix giving the name of the anonymous master is from Santa Maria in Borgo, Bologna (originally from San Francesco, Bologna, now in the Pinacoteca Nazionale, Bologna). The terminals depicting the Mourning Virgin and St John the Evangelist are in the National Gallery of Art, Washington. The figure of St Helen at the right-hand side is a later addition.
