This is one of the most beautiful paintings by the Master of the Registrum Gregorii. This single leaf is from the same manuscript as the other single leaf in the Musée Condé, Chantilly. It shows a manuscript in use on a lectern and a monk listening to dictation and writing down notes with a stylus on a wax tablet.
