The Holy Warriors George, Theodore, and Demetrius

Sts George, Theodore and Demetrius were supposed to have appeared to help the Crusaders during the siege of Antioch in 1098. Small portable icons of these warrior saints were particularly popular with the military aristocracy, who took them on campaigns and prayed in front of them before battles.
