Girolamo Bedoli was an Italian painter who received his initial training in the Mazzola studio, with Parmigianino (Girolamo Francesco Mazzola), whose employee he later became and whose surname he adopted in 1538. He received formative influence from Parmigianino and from the contact with Correggio's oeuvre. In Mantua he adopted Mannerist ideas through Giulio Romano.
