Studies of Nudes (verso)

1503-04
Pen and brown ink, black chalk, 332 x 174 mm
Musée du Louvre, Paris

The verso of the sheet shows two pen-and-ink studies of a back and a figure that can be connected with Michelangelo's Ganymede. In addition, it features three figural studies in black chalk, which have been identified as early ideas for the Battle of Cascina cartoon.

The recto contains a group of three male nudes.
