The recto of the sheet consists of a the upper part of a bearded man (bottom), a seated man in Roman costume and two other figures. The verso contains a figure standing seen from behind.
As a draughtsman Raffaello da Montelupo remains a shadowy figure. On his own admission, he was left-handed and the slant of the shading, from top left to bottom right (it would be from top right to bottom left in a right-handed artist), is clearly seen in the present drawing.
