San Pietro di Castello is an island in the Venetian Lagoon. The Basilica of San Pietro, seat of the Bishop of Venice from the ninth to the nineteenth century, rises on this island. Morlaiter's Virgin Immaculate stands on the Altar of the Immaculate in the left nave of the church.
