The polyptych, executed by Pietro Alemanno, a painter of Austrian origin and pupil of Carlo Crivelli, consists of the following panels: Virgin and Child enthroned (lower centre, 178 x 91 cm), Christ Resurrected (upper centre, 121 x 91 cm), Sts Sebastian, Francis, Bernardino of Siena, and Louis of Toulouse (lower side panels, 157 x 47 cm each), Sts Peter (upper left, 107 x 47 cm), John the Baptist (upper left, 91 x 47 cm), Anthony of Padua (upper right, 99 x 47 cm), and Jerome (upper right, 95 x 47 cm). This altarpiece comes from the Monastero di San Francesco in Cagli (Pesaro).
