This relief is one of the seven depicting the Liberal Arts in the lower register of the socle on the east side of the Campanile. The reliefs were carried out by the workshop of Andrea Pisano, including Nino Pisano who carved the Theatre and the Architecture.

In the last relief in the row, Architecture is personified by the figure of Euclid.
