Jan Pietersz. Bruyningh (1599-1646) was an Amsterdam Mennonite cloth merchant and art collector. The double portrait with his wife Hillegont Pietersdr. Moutmaker (1599-1640) was stolen in 1990 from the Isabella Stewart Gardner Museum, Boston.
