This drawing was made by a pupil of Rembrandt, Ferdinand Bol, Samuel van Hoogstraten, or Barent Fabritius. On the back of the drawing, an inscription contains Rembrandt's advice to the pupil about heightening the visual interest of a composition, enriching the details, etc.
